The special characteristics of music, when well harnessed in schools at all levels, could aid the social and physical development of students, Professor Joshua Adebisi Omotosho of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, has observed. He had consequently, admonished all education instructors at all levels to incorporate music into their lessons. Headmaster of Gomoa Techiman D/A Primary School in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region, Mr. John Kwaku Amu, has threatened to close down the school, following several failed efforts to get the school renovated. The dilapidated school structure built in the late 1950s has seen no renovation since its construction making it a death trap to school pupils and teachers alike. GES Bans Female Teachers From Wearing Miniskirts And Trousers

Female teachers in basic and second cycle institutions in the country have been banned from wearing skimpy dresses as well as trousers henceforth, a directive from the Ghana Education Service(GES) revealed. District Education Director Vows To Deal With Absenteeism

Mr Anthony Maxwell Amoako, the new District Director of Education for Amansie West, has warned that he would sanction basic school heads who condoned lateness and absenteeism by their staff.
